For his service in World War II he was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge,The Asiatic-Pacific theater medal w/3 bronze stars,The World War II Victory medal,The Good Conduct medal,The Distinguished Unit citation which was redesignated in 1966 as the PRESIDENTIAL UNIT CITATION, and the BRONZE STAR.
