Col Carter to write the Battalion History, which he did starting in Germany and finished in Le Havre. France in 1945. He gave the script to Lt. Col. Carter who apparently then sent it to Fort Belvoir where it was published. Dr. Freedman's contact info is in the guest book at the bottom of the page.
